I. Project Background
The Indian customer needs to achieve efficient separation of salt impurities in the toluene solution. The working condition parameters of the solution are as follows: The filtration flow rate is 1.5 cubic meters per hour, the system viscosity is relatively low, the operating temperature is maintained at 80℃, the solid content fluctuation range is 8%-10%, and the target filtration accuracy requirement is 5 microns. Given the client's strict requirements for on-site hygiene conditions and the fact that the project has a small-scale experimental nature, after a comprehensive assessment, it is recommended to use candle filters as the core treatment equipment. This equipment, with its composite filtration structure of filter elements and filter cloths, can achieve high-precision solid-liquid separation. At the same time, it features excellent sealing performance, ensuring stable and reliable filtration effects.
Ii. Design of Filtration Scheme
A candle filter with a filtration area of 10 square meters was selected. After calculation, the thickness of the filter cake formed could reach 15-20mm. To ensure the stable operation of the system, the parameters were calculated based on a thickness of 15mm during the design stage. The filtration cycle for a single batch is approximately 1 hour, and a single filtration can hold 150 liters of solid materials. The operation process of the equipment covers five technological stages: reflux pre-filtration, precision filtration, high-pressure pressing and dewatering, reverse blowing filter element regeneration and sludge discharge and unloading. Through the coordinated operation of each link, efficient and continuous solid-liquid separation operation is achieved.
