Project Background

As one of Singapore’s top dairy producers, the client is widely recognized for its premium-quality milk, yogurt, and flavored dairy beverages. In the highly regulated food market of Singapore, product safety is the lifeline of every brand.

However, during daily production, micron-sized iron particles generated by raw material friction and equipment wear posed a persistent challenge. These metallic impurities are nearly invisible to the naked eye but can cause physical contamination risks, affect product texture, and even harm brand reputation.

The customer had previously experimented with standard mesh and mechanical filters, but these solutions proved inadequate — they lacked magnetic strength, clogged easily, and required frequent maintenance. The company needed a reliable, food-grade solution capable of effectively removing fine ferromagnetic contaminants while maintaining production efficiency.
 

Technical Solution

After a comprehensive market evaluation guided by our engineering team, the customer selected our high-performance magnetic bar filters as the core of its contamination control system. With our technical support, the magnetic filters were strategically deployed across multiple key stages of production, ensuring comprehensive protection against metallic contamination throughout the process.

Raw Material Handling:
Strong magnetic bars were installed at the powder feeding stations before ingredients such as milk powder and cocoa powder entered the dissolving tanks, instantly capturing any metallic particles introduced during transport or packaging.

Liquid Processing:
Sleeve-type magnetic bar filters were inserted into pipelines transporting raw milk and semi-finished mixtures. These effectively trapped metal debris generated during pumping and mixing operations.

Pre-Filling Stage:
A final magnetic checkpoint was added before the filling line, serving as the ultimate “safety barrier” to guarantee product purity before packaging.

Each magnetic bar features a 316 stainless steel surface and a rare-earth neodymium magnetic core, producing a high-gradient magnetic field capable of capturing even the finest iron particles. The design meets food-grade standards and supports CIP (Clean-In-Place) high-temperature cleaning, allowing maintenance-free, continuous operation.
