1. High precision filtering
The filtration accuracy is usually 0.1-10 μ m, which can effectively remove particles, bacteria, or colloidal impurities in Vaseline.
Some models are equipped with multi-layer filter cartridges (such as PP cotton+activated carbon+microporous membrane) to improve purity.
2. Compact and portable
Small in size (commonly 10-30cm in height), suitable for operation on experimental platforms or in fume hoods.
Lightweight design (such as 316 stainless steel or heat-resistant plastic), easy to move and clean.
3. Chemical resistance and temperature resistance
The material should be compatible with the oily properties of Vaseline, and common choices include:
316L stainless steel: corrosion-resistant, can be sterilized at high temperatures (suitable for pharmaceutical grade Vaseline).
TFE/polypropylene (PP): solvent resistant, suitable for organic solvent mixed systems.
The temperature resistance range is usually -20 ℃~120 ℃, which can cope with the filtration of heated molten Vaseline.
4. Low residue design
Adopting a dead space minimization structure to reduce the retention of Vaseline and avoid waste.
Some models come with inert gas pressurization function to accelerate filtration and reduce oxidation risk.
5. Flexible adaptability
Can be connected to a vacuum pump (such as a Buchner funnel filter) or a syringe (such as a needle filter).
There are various interface standards (such as GL45, flanges, or quick release clamps) that are compatible with common laboratory devices.
